About Motion
A house built on Ghanaian gold, Ghanaian hands.

Motion Mining was founded with one conviction: that Ghana's gold should be mined by Ghanaians, with the discipline the metal deserves.
From our headquarters in East Legon, Accra, we hold access to a portfolio of gold concessions across Ghana — and partner with investors to bring them into responsible production. We are, by design, a strategic partner for capital entering the Ghanaian gold sector.
We are deliberately mid-sized. Big enough to operate to international standards. Small enough that every concession, every shift, and every partnership is overseen directly by the people responsible for them.

Founder & CEO
Jeffrey Kwarteng
Founder and Chief Executive of Motion Mining. Jeffrey grew up in Kumasi and moved to Accra at the age of twenty to build a business — over thirty years later, he is still here. A businessman across ventures, he started in land development before moving into commercial real estate and forex bureau operations. For years he ran mining support services, learning the industry from the ground up. Now, through Motion Mining, he intends to open Ghana's gold sector to serious investors and change how the industry operates in the country.

Our principles
What we owe the land, we return.
·
Local first
Hiring, sourcing, and decision-making happen close to the concession. Local prosperity is the only sustainable kind.
·
Transparent ledger
Royalties, taxes, and community contributions are documented and audited. The numbers should always match the words.
·
Restore as we go
Rehabilitation is concurrent with extraction — not deferred. We leave land usable for the next generation.
